Our Leadership

Scott Knorr serves as President and General Manager of Adesis, where he leads the company’s overall strategy, commercial growth, and operational direction. He works across the organization to align Adesis’ scientific and manufacturing capabilities with customer needs, identify strategic markets and opportunities, and drive initiatives that support the company’s continued growth.

Scott brings extensive commercial and leadership experience in the chemical and life sciences industries. Prior to becoming President and General Manager, he led business development and sales at Adesis, working closely with customers to translate complex chemistry needs into development and manufacturing opportunities. His background combines chemical engineering, business development, and strategic planning, with a focus on helping customers accelerate programs from development toward clinical and commercial applications.

Scott holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Penn State University and an M.B.A. from the University of Maryland.

Nathan Ross, Ph.D. serves as Director of Chemistry at Adesis, where he provides technical leadership across a diverse portfolio of customer programs. Since joining the company in 2004, he has worked closely with clients and scientific teams to solve complex chemistry challenges, support process development efforts, and advance projects toward successful outcomes. Known for his practical, data-driven approach, Nathan helps guide the evaluation and execution of synthetic strategies across a broad range of technologies and applications.

Nathan received a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Texas Tech University and completed postdoctoral research at the University of Notre Dame.

Craig Zificsak, Ph.D. serves as Associate Director of Chemistry at Adesis, where he leads scientific teams supporting a broad range of customer programs across the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and specialty chemical industries. His work spans projects from milligram-scale discovery chemistry through kilogram-scale synthesis, with a focus on developing practical synthetic strategies and solving complex organic chemistry challenges.

Prior to joining Adesis, Craig spent 14 years in drug discovery, with experience developing kinase inhibitors for oncology and neurodegenerative diseases as well as diverse small-molecule scaffolds for central nervous system disorders. His background combines extensive experience in modern and classical synthetic organic chemistry with a strong understanding of the requirements needed to advance molecules from early discovery into larger-scale development.

Craig received a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Minnesota and completed postdoctoral research at Johnson & Johnson.

Jason Hunter serves as Head of Manufacturing at Adesis, where he plays a key role in process development, scale-up, engineering, process safety, and manufacturing operations. He works closely with scientific and operational teams to translate laboratory processes into practical, reproducible approaches for larger-scale execution, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and reliable delivery.

Jason brings more than 30 years of experience in process chemistry, engineering, and chemical manufacturing. Prior to joining Adesis in 2022, he held a series of process and production roles at a leading API manufacturer, where he supported the development, transfer, and execution of chemical processes at manufacturing scale. His background provides a strong bridge between laboratory chemistry and the operational requirements of larger-scale production.

Jack Church serves as Head of Facilities at Adesis, where he oversees the infrastructure and operational functions that support the company’s scientific teams and day-to-day business activities. His responsibilities span facilities management, shipping and receiving, information systems, environmental health and safety, and regulatory compliance.

With more than 15 years at Adesis, Jack has played an important role in supporting the company’s growth and maintaining the systems, facilities, and processes required for efficient and reliable operations. He works closely with scientific and administrative teams to ensure operational needs are addressed safely and effectively while maintaining high standards across the organization.

Rob Sorantino serves as Head of Human Resources at Adesis, where he leads the company’s people strategy, talent management, and employee engagement efforts. He works closely with leadership to align human resources initiatives with business objectives while supporting employee development, organizational effectiveness, and a culture of clear expectations and open communication.

Rob brings broad experience across talent management, employee relations, organizational development, and change management, with a focus on building strong teams and creating practical programs that support both employees and business performance.
